The nature of our work together

Untangled offers Christian counselling, a twelve week course and two self awareness profiles. The work is pastoral and educational. It is not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, psychological or legal care.

Everything is offered from a Christian worldview, and Scripture shapes every part of it. By booking a session, joining the course or taking a profile, you give your informed consent to this framework.

Counselling is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or thinking of ending your life, please reach out now. In South Africa, call the SADAG Suicide Crisis Helpline on 0800 567 567 or Lifeline on 0861 322 322. Elsewhere, please contact your local emergency services.

Where a need falls outside what I can offer, I may suggest someone better placed to help.

Counselling sessions and payment

Sessions are held online by private video call and last one hour. A session is R300 if you live in South Africa, the rest of Africa or India, and R650 if you live elsewhere. It is paid for when you book, and the calendar opens once your payment is confirmed.

Where we agree to meet over several sessions, each session is paid for when you book it, unless we have agreed otherwise. If cost is what stands in your way, please tell me rather than quietly stepping away.

Sessions already held are not refundable.

Cancellations and rescheduling

If you need to move or cancel a session, please let me know as early as you can. Life happens, and I would far rather reschedule than have you miss the time altogether.

A session cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may be charged, because that time was held for you and cannot be offered to anyone else at short notice.

I reserve the right to step back from our work together where boundaries, values or safety are compromised.

The Untangled course

The course is twelve live online sessions of ninety minutes each, in a small group. The fee covers all twelve weeks and is paid when you enrol: R300 if you live in South Africa, the rest of Africa or India, and R500 if you live elsewhere. It is kept small on purpose. It is a commitment fee, and sponsored places are kept for anyone who needs one.

Your enrolment includes the participant workbook, the Grace Abounds devotional and Unbecoming, free. Your personal Unbecoming code arrives with your confirmation, and you complete Unbecoming before Session 3. Please download your results and keep them, as you will use them through the course.

If you withdraw more than 14 days before the first session, your fee will be refunded in full, or moved to a later group if you prefer. Within 14 days of the first session, or once the course has begun, your place can be moved to a later group, but the fee is not refundable. Missed sessions cannot be refunded.

By joining a group you agree to hold in confidence everything that others share. Anything very personal or painful is best brought to a private session rather than to the group.

If too few people enrol for a group to go ahead, you will be offered a place in the next group or a full refund.

Unveiled and Unbecoming

Unveiled and Unbecoming are tools for self awareness and reflection. They are not clinical assessments, they do not diagnose anything, and they never claim to know why something in your life happened. They are for adults aged 18 and over.

Unveiled is R750 if you live in South Africa, the rest of Africa or India, and R1,250 if you live elsewhere. It includes your written report and a free one hour session with me. Payment is required before the questionnaire opens, and it reserves the time I set aside to prepare your report. Once I have begun preparing your report, the fee is not refundable. If you need a refund before then, please write to me and I will respond personally.

Unbecoming is R99 if you live in South Africa, the rest of Africa or India, and R200 if you live elsewhere, and it is free for everyone on the Untangled course. Once you have begun, the fee is not refundable. You may then choose to book a paid first session to walk through your results with me.

Gift and course codes can be used once only, and cannot be exchanged for money.

Your results are shown to you on screen, and you can download them as a PDF. That PDF is made in your own browser and is yours to keep safe.

Confidentiality

Everything you share with me, in a session or through a profile, is held with the utmost care and discretion. On the course, no one else in your group ever sees your results. What you share with them is always your own choice.

Sessions are never recorded, by either of us. Disclosure would only ever be considered where the law requires it, or where there is a genuine concern for someone's safety.

Your personal information and POPIA

Untangled is committed to protecting your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). I, Robynne Todd, am responsible for your information.

What I collect. Your name, email address and phone number if you give it; your payment reference (never your card details); your answers and results from Unveiled or Unbecoming; and anything you choose to tell me when you book.

Special personal information. Your faith and your emotional wellbeing are special personal information under POPIA. That is why I ask for your explicit consent before you begin a profile, and why you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Why I collect it. Only to provide what you have asked for: your sessions, your place on the course, your profile results, your report, and the conversations that follow.

Who sees it. Your answers and results are seen only by me. Payments are processed by Paystack, which receives what it needs to take your payment. Your information is never sold, and it is never shared with anyone else without your consent, except where the law requires it.

How it is stored. The website and its records are hosted by Netlify, whose servers may be outside South Africa. Your information is protected by secure connections, private storage that only I can reach, and the safeguards POPIA requires when information is held across borders. When I prepare a report, I may use an AI assistant under my own account to help me organise your results. Your name is never needed for that work, and the report is always written and checked by me.

How long I keep it. For one year after our last contact, after which it is securely deleted. You can ask me to delete it sooner at any time.

Your rights. You may ask to see the information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Please write to me at the address below. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

While you complete a profile. Your progress is held only in your own browser until you submit it.

Payments

All payments are made in rand through Paystack, and are processed securely through my practice, Before Forever. If you live outside South Africa, your bank converts the amount, and the dollar, euro and pound amounts shown on the site are approximate.

The site suggests a local or international rate from your time zone. South Africa, the rest of Africa and India pay the local rate. If the suggestion is wrong for you, you can switch it on any price.

No guarantees

Healing is a journey, and God works in His own time. I cannot promise any particular outcome. What I can promise is to walk with you honestly, with grace, and always towards the truth.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
